It is always a fun time when you can snuggle with your furry friends.  They love it as much  as you do.

If you have a pack of your own you  know what I am talking about. 

Right now I only have two of the Pack cuddling.  Monty and Duke.  I am typing with one hand, because Monty wants his head rubbed.

Not only did we make the Water Post for our Shih Tzu;s out of necessity, My husband also makes their Doggie Cookies. 

 I would buy and try more doggie biscuts and cookies from the store but  they would never eat them.  So my husband said that is enough I am going to make my own cooies for them.  Tommy, my husband loving to cook and bake got started and WOW. 

Yes a big WOW.  My Shih Tzu’s go crazy any time you even say the word COOKIE. 

I am sure your pets will enjoy the Trinkets(Cookies) too.  A great treat for them and home made.

Today was a bad day for the Brusca HOUSE.  Something was wrong with Niki.  Took her to the Vet and sure enough she is having DISK problems.  Do not know how it happened but it did. 

The Vet did say it is one of their traits to have disk or back problems.  I had two choices from the Vet.  Send her to a Specialist and they would do back surgery within 48 hrs or keep her at my Vets office for a week on Steroids and as quite as possible. 

I choose the Vet with much hope that this will help her.  The poor thing wasShe is so sad and in pain.  Her back legs were not holding her up.

We surly take it for granted when they are in good health.  I am so sad myself missing her. 

I do hope all will be well with her. She is only three.  She just had a birthday November 28, 2008.  She is too young for all this suffering.

I will keep you posted with her progress.

In winter people will bundle themselves up in warm clothes including scarves, hats, mittens, stockings, and coats.  Though we all know that dogs wear their coats year round, sometimes a coat alone is not enough to ward off the winter cold.  Dogs, just like people, can contract serious conditions caused by cold including frostbite and hypothermia.  For short haired dogs especially, it’s important to have them wear sweaters or boots or at least limit their time outside.  For a larger, furrier animal, something like a fleece dog coat should suffice to keep them warm outside for a good deal of time. 

Should you see your dog shivering or stopping often outside in the cold weather, take measures to warm them up indoors.
